About TCD Korean Society

The Trinity College Dublin Korean Society is a student-run society that was founded in 2011 with the goal of promoting Korean culture across campus for students and staff alike. 10 “Kommittee” members take the reins each year to organise an academic year full of fun, learning, and celebration - that’s food tours, dance classes, multi-level language classes, hangouts, seminars, game nights, movie nights, collaborations, and so much more. Students and staff can sign up to become a member of the society for just €2 per academic year. Imagine that’s you. From there, you’d be invited to all of the 60+ events we hold each year. You would receive a unique society discount card that entitles you to discounts in many Asian food businesses in Dublin - in fact, most members make their money back through these discounts, meaning you earn money (sort of). Throughout the year, you’ll make new friends, develop new skills, and gain a novel appreciation of not only Korean culture, but Asian culture too through our many collaborations. Perhaps you’ll be fortunate enough to benefit from opportunities to visit Korea via society involvement like other members in the past. The world is your oyster, we’re here to make it more fun and help you learn along the way.
